MIDLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

Well, with a huge entry and the Gearbox O Plate as well, we were all set for a fine and sunny weekend.

Saturday lived up to the promise, but then the forecast rapidly changed and it poured down Sunday morning! It dried out by lunchtime and the last few heats and the Finals were run in the dry.

Full Results, a Race Report and Championship Points will follow in the next few days.

ACE & KING OF CLUBS

The Rissington Team were small in number, but full of enthusiasm!

Joshua Grimston in Junior TKM qualified 6th for the Final, but got clipped and dropped down, but he battled back to 12th overall.

Ethan Pitt and Scott Morris were in the thick of it in Comer Cadet, which as usual was a bit of a bun-fight! They had mixed fortunes in the heats, with lots of overtaking and a few problems, but finished the Final 10th and 14th respectively.

Well done to these guys and their supporters for putting Rissington on the map and waving the flag!

GENERAL NEWS

Saturday practice costs £30 for members and £40 for non-members. Good value for 7 or 8 sessions! Practice starts at 10.00am and runs until at least 5.00pm (light permitting).

Race Entries are £45 for members and £55 for non-members (excluding Midland Champs).

Please note that no dogs are allowed on the airfield, by order of the Ministry of Defence.

Starting Karting packs and ARKS Tests are available through the Club.

The Club would particularly like to thank all marshalls and officials who often braced attrocious conditions to allow practice and racing to take place. Indeed, without the help of these volunteers throughout the season, racing would not take place at all! If anyone is interested in marshalling, please contact the Club Secretary (details on Contacts page).

PIT SPACES

Please also note that many pit bays have now been sold. As there is plenty of other space available, please do not park in numbered bays, unless you have reserved them.

A few pit spaces can be booked for the weekend. Phone Piet Klaassen on 01926 850397 .
